What a Flash Scan can and cannot tell you
The limits of a one-day assessment and when deeper analysis makes sense.
ALKIMIUS ·
Most leadership teams do not lack ideas. They lack a fast, honest way to decide which ideas deserve time, money and attention. The Flash Scan exists for that moment: before a diligence budget is released, before a technology is bought, before a transformation programme is launched.
What it is
A one-day executive session with a senior transportation, logistics and supply chain expert, prepared with AI-assisted analysis of public information and whatever data you choose to share. No data room is needed to start.
What you leave with
- Where value is most likely to sit — two or three areas, not twenty.
- What the available evidence already shows, and what it cannot show yet.
- A Go, Adjust or Stop recommendation with a confidence level.
- If the answer is Go, the smallest next step that would prove or disprove the value.
What it cannot do
A Flash Scan is not a due diligence, an audit or a business case. It works with partial information by design, so its figures are ranges and its confidence is stated openly. Its job is to tell you whether a deeper Value Scan™ or Value Assessment™ is worth paying for — and if it is not, to say so.
The most valuable answer a Flash Scan can give is sometimes Stop. It is the cheapest moment to find out.
When to use it
- A sponsor screening a logistics target before committing diligence capital.
- A carrier or 3PL whose margin is falling while volume grows.
- A cargo owner facing rising expedited freight or a network decision.
- A new leadership team that needs an evidence-based starting point.
The decision for you
If you are about to spend more than a few weeks or a meaningful budget on finding value, spend one day first to find out whether it is there.
